  Translation Specialist

 

Sivano is currently looking to fill many openings for Translators, based on time or per-word based contract work. You will be responsible to translate software, HTML and documentation into your native language(s). You must ensure that the translation work being billed for adheres to the terminology used in your specific language region and profession. Currently available positions include:

1. Asian language translator (Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Korean and Japanese).
2. European language translator (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian and many others). Some languages are considered more immediate, please apply regardless. We are looking for motivated self-starters who are native to these languages and have been College or University educated.

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Strong communicational skills.
  • Software, hardware IT skills. Those who are more comfortable with technology terms in their native language will be first choice candidates.
  • Translation experience is an asset.
  • English comprehension with reading and writing is a must.
  • Dependable and eager individuals are sought.

  Software Localization Specialists

 

Our localization group is looking for a Localization Software Specialist who's responsibilities will include working with clients to monitor internal and external project schedules and resolve issues encountered in the product or translatable files for each project. This position is only currently available on a project contract basis, but may be available as a full time position in the future. You will work with the Localization Project Manager in identifying internationalization and localization issues in the original and localized products. You may be responsible in dealing with the Development team, and may be required to Build the software once translated. You will create localization kits for our internal and external translation resources, and provide our Quality Assurance, Engineering and Sales teams with support to resolve issues and successfully bring the product to Release.

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • C/C++ and Windows development experience required. Knowledge of Internet programming and other programming languages are definite assets.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign language(s) a definite plus.
  • Willingness to monitor project schedules and report issues that may impact deliverables.
  • Gather information to create project scope, Statements of Work and localization kits for translators.
  • Coordinate timely responses to queries originating from customers.
  • Monitor issues logged against localized products and coordinate/implement fixes with minimal direction.
  • Help define new processes and procedures to improve the quality of the finished products, while accelerating the localization time line. Research and test new localization tools.
  • Act as senior resource for team members; providing support to resolve issues.
